K-drama fans are on the edge of their seats because the final two episodes of 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' are going to drop this weekend on Netflix. The historic-culinary drama is among the 10th most-watched K-dramas in the world and is currently trending at number one on the OTT platform across many countries. The culinary drama revolves around Yeon Ji-yeong (played by Im Yoo-ah), a chef who has recently won a challenge in France and was flying back to her father in South Korea with an ancient book. As she reads the magical words written in the book, she lands in the Joseon era, approximately 500 years back, when King Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-Min) ruled his subjects.
Yeon Ji-yeong becomes the royal chef but not without facing challenges, and what lies ahead of the finale is a question - whether she will be able to rewrite the history of the Joseon era that labelled King Lee Heon a tyrant. Not to mention that the show has also landed in some controversy, and if conspiracy theories are believed to be true, Yeon Ji-yeong would survive the fall of King Lee Heon but wouldn’t be able to change the history. The dishes cooked in the show are not only unique, but the actor perfected them in a three-month culinary course to play the part convincingly. If you want to enjoy the visual culinary ride for a little longer, here are a few more K-dramas that you can binge-watch over the weekend.
Mr Queen
It is a drama in which Jang Bong-hwa, a head chef, witnesses a near-death experience and wakes up as a queen, Kim So-yong. There is no doubt that during ancient times, women in palaces or otherwise were taught to be docile and carry themselves with demeanour, come what may. Jang Bong-hwa's bold personality contrasts with how the queen is supposed to behave, and comic timing makes this Netflix drama a must-watch. Apart from comedy, you also get to witness the head chef preparing some of the lip-smacking dishes on the screen that leave you feeling hungry, even if you have just eaten.

Tastefully Yours
Another K-drama that foodies and culinary connoisseurs will be forced to binge-watch is Tastefully Yours. It is about a food conglomerate, Han Beom-woo, trying to prove himself in the eyes of his mother. He finds himself running a small restaurant owned by Jeonju, a chef. She is particular about what ingredient goes in her dish, and she also cultivates vegetables in her garden. It is a visual treat for people who love watching cooking shows, but it is better as it is accompanied by drama, appealing landscapes, and a blossoming love story. These dramas will convince you to reactivate your Netflix subscription.

Let’s Eat
Let’s Eat is a series on Prime Video about a happily divorced Lee Soo-kyung, a paralegal, and Goo Dae-young, a mysterious gourmand, Kim Hak-moon, a lawyer, and Yoon Ji-yi, a formerly rich design student. Their lives are good except for one problem - eating outside is not for one. This show is not about cooking per se, but it revolves around food. In most of the scenes, you will notice the leads indulging in Korean delicacies. If you haven’t watched it yet, the holiday season is the perfect time to make some popcorn, hog the sofa, and finish the show in one sitting. While eating out alone might not be your thing, you can certainly order good food, especially Korean or Asian.
