A tea-themed food plaza was commissioned by the IRCTC on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi’s birthday at Vadnagar railway station in Gujarat. Once believed to have been the place where his humble beginnings involved selling tea to passengers, the eatery aims to pay an ode to his roots by serving a wide assortment of teas; some of which include Earl Grey, jasmine and green tea varieties. The station, located in Modi’s hometown, was inaugurated by him in 2021 and has since aimed to ensure that passengers are provided with services which make them comfortable, including the latest initiative.
