Kachumber Salad combines cucumber, tomato, and onion with a splash of lemon for a crisp, tangy flavour, packed with vitamin C and hydration, aiding digestion, balancing spicy meals, and traditionally served to cool the palate with curries.
1 finely chopped cucumber 2 finely chopped tomatoes 1 finely chopped onion 1 chopped green chilli 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp lemon juice Salt to taste ¼ tsp black pepper powder
Wash the cucumber, tomatoes, and onion thoroughly under running water.
Peel the cucumber if desired and chop all vegetables finely.
Transfer the chopped veggies to a mixing bowl.
Add salt, black pepper, and lemon juice, then mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, toss, and serve immediately.
