Besan Chilla is a delicious and wholesome Indian savoury pancake made from gram flour, fresh vegetables, and aromatic spices. Quick to prepare and packed with protein, it’s a perfect choice for healthy breakfasts or light snacks that are both tasty and satisfying.
1 cup besan ½ cup water (adjust for batter consistency) 1 finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped tomato 1 finely chopped green chilli 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves ¼ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste Oil for cooking
In a bowl, mix besan, water, turmeric, chilli powder, and salt to form a smooth, pourable batter.
Fold in onions, tomato, green chilli, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
Heat a non-stick pan or tawa, and brush lightly with oil.
Pour a ladle of batter, spread thinly, and cook both sides on medium heat until golden brown.
Serve hot with green chutney, tomato ketchup, or yoghurt.
