South Indian Filter Coffee Tiramisu Recipe: Indian Take On A Classic Dessert

Filter coffee tiramisu is a fusion dessert made by dipping biscuits in strong South Indian filter coffee and layering them with sweetened mascarpone or whipped cream.

Ingredients

8–10 Marie biscuits or sponge fingers ½ cup strong filter coffee (room temperature) ¼ cup sugar (adjust to taste) 200g mascarpone or fresh cream (whipped) 1 tsp coffee powder or cocoa powder (for dusting) Optional: 1 tbsp condensed milk for extra sweetness

Step 1

Mix the filter coffee and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.

Step 2

Dip the biscuits quickly in coffee and layer them in a flat dish.

Step 3

Spread a layer of mascarpone or whipped cream on top. Add condensed milk if using.

Step 4

Repeat the layers once more. Finish with a thick cream layer on top.

Step 5

Dust with coffee or cocoa powder. Chill for 3–4 hours before serving.
