This Gluten-Free Chocolate Ice Cream is rich, creamy, and indulgent, made without gluten or artificial additives. Packed with cocoa’s antioxidants, it’s a guilt-free dessert that satisfies chocolate cravings while being easy to make at home.
2 cups full-fat milk 1 cup chilled fresh cream ¾ cup sugar 3 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened, gluten-free) 1 tbsp cornflour (gluten-free) 1 tsp vanilla extract Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for mix-ins
In a small bowl, mix cornflour with 2 tablespoons of cold milk until smooth and set aside.
In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, cream, sugar, and cocoa powder, and heat on medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
Add the cornflour slurry to the pan, whisk continuously, and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Turn off the heat, stir in vanilla extract, and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Transfer to a container, cover, and freeze, whisking every 2-3 hours to break ice crystals for a creamy texture.
Freeze overnight, then scoop and serve, adding chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
