Kojagiri Purnima, falling on the 6th of October, is widely celebrated as Lakshmi Puja, typically in Bengal. To prepare a traditional bhog on the full moon night, here are some Bengali staples.
Narkel Nadu, or coconut laddoos, made with jaggery or sugar, is a staple offered to Goddess Lakshmi.
Kichuri is the Bengali one-pot meal prepared with rice, moong ki dal, ghee, and a blend of spices.
Labra is a must-add to bhog thal. It is a mixed vegetable curry, made with pumpkin, potatoes, and brinjal.
You can make begun bhaja by marinating eggplant slices and shallow-frying in mustard oil.
For something sweet, you can add a bowl of creamy payesh to the bhog thali this Kojagiri Purnima 2025.
