Veggie-Loaded Upma Recipe For A Nutritious Breakfast

Veggies can enhance any recipe, especially the ones you begin your day with. Make your regular upma colourful with seasonal produce and keep your gut healthy. Try this recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups rava 3 cups water Salt to taste ½ cup carrots, capsicums ½ cup onions, tomatoes 1 tsp mustard seeds ½ tsp red chilli powder A sprig of curry leaves ½ tbsp olive oil 1 tsp chana dal ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander leaves

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan and sprinkle mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and curry leaves.

Step 2

Sauté chana dal for a minute and saute carrots, onions, and capsicums.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder, and when onions are translucent, fold in tomatoes.

Step 4

Fold in rava and pour water. Stir the ingredients.

Step 5

When the rava absorbs water, top it with coriander leaves. Serve breakfast.
