Poha cutlet is an innovative way to use flattened rice. Since they are crunchy, the result is munch-worthy patties that can be served with sauce or chutney or added to a bun to make a desi burger.
1 potato 1 cup thick poha 1 carrot, onion 4-5 French beans ½ tsp ginger, garlic ½ tsp garam masala, amchur 1 tsp sesame seeds Salt to taste 3 tbsp oil A pinch of sugar ¼ tsp chilli, turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander leaves
Rinse the poha a couple of times and drain the excess water.
Meanwhile, steam the vegetables. Mash them and wait for them to cool off.
Add poha and powdered spices. Mix the ingredients together.
Shape the spiced mixture into cutlets.
Grease a pan with oil and shallow-fry cutlets until they are brown and crispy.
