You don’t always need hours to make something festive. These Indian sweets come together in under 20 minutes and still taste like home.
Roast semolina in ghee, add hot water, sugar, cardamom, and stir till thick. Garnish with nuts. Quick and classic.
Mash paneer with condensed milk and cardamom. Roll into soft ladoos. Chill briefly before serving.
Mix fresh or desiccated coconut with sugar and a little milk. Cook until thick and set into a greased plate. Cut into squares.
Dry roast besan in ghee in a microwave-safe bowl. Add powdered sugar and cardamom. Shape into ladoos once cool.
Grind seedless dates with roasted nuts and a pinch of cinnamon. Shape into logs, roll in desiccated coconut, and slice.
