Gin-Based Cocktail Recipes Perfect For Your Next House Party

Whether you want to make a refreshing cocktail with a citrus zing to unwind, or something fancy for a house party, you can do it all with gin. Peppered Kokum & Curry Leaf Smash

Glass: Martini/coupe

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml gin
  • 4 curry leaves
  • ¼ bar spoon crushed black pepper
  • 10 ml Lime juice
  • 15 ml kokum syrup
  • Garnish: curry leaf sprig/dehydrated kokum powder/whole wet kokum

Method:

  1. Muddle curry leaves and crushed black pepper.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the rest of the ingredients and shake well. 
  4. Double strain into a pre-chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with a curry leaf sprig and kokum and serve.

Citrus Spiced Negroni 

Glass: Rocks

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml gin
  • 30 ml Campari
  • 15 ml orange liqueur
  • 15 ml extra dry vermouth/white wine
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • Garnish: orange zest, thyme

Method:

  1. Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour all ingredients over ice cubes and stir well to mellow.
  3. Put the orange ice sphere/ice sphere in a rocks glass
  4. Double strain the cold Negroni over fresh ice or an ice sphere/block
  5. Garnish with orange zest or thyme and serve the tangy cocktail.

Singapore Sling 

Glass: Hurricane

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml gin
  • 15 ml orange liqueur
  • 2.5 ml grenadine syrup
  • 2.5 ml cherry syrup
  • 120 ml pineapple juice
  • 15 ml lime juice 
  • Garnish: pineapple, cherry, 3 dashes Angostura bitters

Method:

  1. Pour gin, orange liqueur, grenadine syrup, cherry syrup, pineapple juice, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake well ice cubes.
  3. Take a block of ice in a hurricane glass and strain the cocktail into it. 
  4. Garnish with the fruits, add bitters, and your cocktail is ready.

Bloody Shiraz G&T

Glass: Tall/wine glass

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml gin
  • 10 ml peach syrup/liqueur
  • 30 ml red wine
  • 1 wedge of lime
  • Tonic water to top
  • Garnish: mint sprig, orange slice, flower

Method:

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in peach syrup and a squeeze of lime.
  3. Add gin and top it with tonic water, and stir well.
  4. Garnish with orange slices, an edible flower, and a mint sprig.
  5. Float the red wine by slowly pouring, and serve.
